Liverpool City Region’s music sector worth £780 million – on track to become a £1 billion powerhouse
Unsurprisingly, the young people of the Liverpool City Region are not shy about sharing the views of their generation, and how decisions made now, may affect the young people of tomorrow.
So recently, on a Saturday morning, members of our Youth Combined Authority (YCA) joined other young people at Mann Island for their Youth Quake event to discuss key issues for the city region.
The YCA empowers the voice of young people across the six boroughs of the Liverpool City Region by giving them the opportunity to influence decision-makers.
The group regularly share their thoughts and opinions with policy leads at the Combined Authority so the ‘youth voice’ is included across five key areas of the organisation: Economical Development and Growth, Employment and Skills, Energy and the Environment, Culture and Transport.
The Youth Combined Authority is made up of young people aged between 13 and 18 (or 13 and 25 if they have special educational needs and or a disability) who live in Halton, Knowsley, Liverpool, Sefton, St Helens or Wirral. Find out more or apply to join here.
