  • The Role of the Panel

    • Meet quarterly to support the Liverpool City Region’s inward investment function
    • Support and align the strategic priorities and objectives for the investment service
    • Provide strategic and commercial insights to inform good practice
    • Support the city region lead and wider team in ensuring consistency of delivery of working practices and adherence to protocols and collaboration agreements across all partners
    • Support the place marketing commissioning framework and the identified opportunities and activity for delivery via the Liverpool City Region team
    • Review and monitor performance of the Investment Services Team and provide scrutiny and challenge
    • Be ambassadors for the Liverpool City Region with some representation at key events

  • Private Sector Members – who you are?

    • You will have global investment knowledge paired with some local understanding
    • Hold a position in the private sector that is nationally significant
    • Have a good understanding of the investor decision making process nationally and
    • internationally
    • Be able to manage any conflict of interest that may hamper or unduly give favourable
    • treatment to decision making around investment
    • Be able to provide energy, insight, direction and guidance to the Investment Services lead
    • Be able to work in partnership across the private and public sectors

  • How to get involved

    • Please provide a short, written expression of interest based on the criteria above
    • Selection will be based on fit assessed by the CA Director of Commercial Development and
    • Investment and the local authority chief executive member
    • The first meeting will be held June 2019, with meetings each quarter in June, September,
    • December and March
