At its meeting on 20 January 2017, the Liverpool City Region Combined Authority approved the proposal for the Authority to ‘opt in’ to the Sector Led Body, Public Sector Auditor Appointments (PSSA) as the means through which the Authority’s new external auditors would be procured for the financial year 2018/19.
Under Regulation 13 of the Local Audit (Appointing Person) Regulation 2015, an appointment has been made by PSAA as the appointing person which was approved by PSAA Board at its meeting on 14 December 2017.
Pursuant to this process, Mazars LLP have been appointed as the external auditors to the Authority for the period 2018/19 to 2022/23.
