We in the Liverpool City Region have taken an historic step, securing a devolution agreement that gives us real, local policy making and investment powers. The Liverpool City Region Combined Authority’s vision is for an inclusive, globally competitive city region at the heart of the Northern Powerhouse. Committed to ‘doing things differently’ we have a once in a lifetime opportunity to transform and shape the future of the City Region.
This team is about turning our organisation’s ideas and priorities into tangible projects and delivering them to make a positive difference for the 1.6m residents of the Liverpool City Region. This project will focus on delivering key interventions designed to address the structural barriers that are faced by our BAME residents.
We are seeking someone with a strong understanding of the current inequalities and systemic problems faced by BAME individuals and communities as well as a robust awareness of the opportunities that the Combined Authority has to deliver real, tangible change for the Liverpool City Region residents who identify as BAME.
We are looking for someone who can demonstrate ownership and leadership bringing enthusiasm, experience, passion and a range of skills to deliver on the CA’s race equality agenda. This individual will be working on priority projects with a range of high-profile stakeholders across the City Region.
We particularly encourage applications from Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic (BAME) candidates, as these groups are underrepresented.
