Salary: £20,242 - £21,974 pa (Plus shift allowance, weekend enhancement and other allowances associated with the duties of a Network Performance Officer.)

Job Description:

The duties of a Network Performance Officer – Matrix 1 will involve the collection of data relating to but not limited to passenger movements and service quality on all transport modes across Merseyside and surrounding areas. As part of your duties, you will be required to operate within the Liverpool City Region (RTI) Real Time Information Control Room and in addition you will work as part of a team to protect revenue due to Merseytravel and bus operators from pre-paid tickets, concessionary travel passes and cash fare sales.

The successful candidate will have the ability to conduct associated tasks within the Network Performance Team to include: –

• A high degree of flexibility is required, and it is essential that applicants can demonstrate their ability to get to and from their duties without the need of public transport.

• Punctuality timing checks of transport operator bus services at various locations across the Liverpool City Region transport network.

• Data collection duties associated with rail reimbursement for customer ticketing usage and monitor of passenger flows across the rail network.

• Providing cover in a multi-functional (RTI) Real Time Information Control Centre, working a 7 day operation, currently between the hours of 06:30 and 20:00 hrs.

• The undertaking of contract compliance checks on a range of services, including but not limited to:

  • Merseytravel supported services.
  • Rail stations
  • Timing points and interchanges
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills are essential to this role, as is recent experience of working with the public, along with a flexible attitude to your working hours
  • Shift lengths can vary between 5 hours and 8.30 hours each working day.

If appointed you will be required to demonstrate effective time management skills, the ability to work to deadlines, be able to plan, organise and prioritise tasks and workload. It is essential that the post holder is computer literate and has good written and verbal communication skills.

A full uniform is provided and must be worn while on duty.
