Do you want the chance to get involved in some of the biggest issues affecting the Liverpool City Region?
This is a key role working as part of the Mayor of the Liverpool City Region’s busy private office where no two days are the same. Providing the expertise that helps shape our communications policy, you will be a strong communicator with a track record of success delivering media and communications support in a high-profile or political organisation.
You need to have excellent written, verbal and people skills, proven experience dealing with a wide range of different media and advising the Mayor and other senior figures in a fast-paced, demanding environment. You must have the ability to think on your feet, respond quickly to media enquiries, generate great coverage through creative ideas and demonstrate extensive knowledge of digital and social media.
This role involves creating high quality media and communications, ensuring deadlines are met and an effective dialogue with media. It’s an active role that will involve accompanying the Mayor to events, writing and editing articles, briefings and statements on his behalf, as well as being a vital part of an office that works flexibly to support and assist the Mayor.
