Job Role

The Legal Officer will work as part of a team who provide a comprehensive administrative support service to the Legal, Democratic Services and Procurement team.  The work of this post will involve the utilisation of a Civica case management system for the preparation of accurate paperwork in respect of Mersey Tunnels Police prosecutions, administration of fixed penalty matters, maintenance of accurate electronic records, diary management for Chief Legal Officer and other officers and general administrative support for the Legal, Democratic Services and Procurement Team.

You will have the knowledge and/or experience in the use of electronic case management systems, be IT literate and be able to manage own workload with minimal supervision. You should have good communication skills, drafting skills with attention to detail and be able to work under pressure and to tight deadline.   You will have administrative support experience.

You must have a minimum of 4 GCSE’s or equivalent and be prepared to undertake any relevant training.
