The Liverpool City Region Combined Authority is growing a team of exceptional people to deliver our vision for an inclusive, globally competitive city region. This is an exciting time for us, having successfully negotiated and secured a Devolution Agreement with Government, bringing a wealth of opportunities to the City Region.
Those opportunities are evident: the city region is growing, with a strong base of innovative and resilient SMEs; it is upgrading its economic infrastructure, linked to Northern Powerhouse Rail, HS2 and improved local connectivity; and an unrivalled quality of life proposition based on cultural intensity and affordable living costs. Yet, like all post-industrial cities, we need to work hard to ensure the benefits reach all people.
Based in the Policy and Strategic Commissioning Directorate, the Head of Policy Co-ordination will be responsible for leading and co-ordinating the policy and strategy development work of the Directorate, leading a team of policy officers to ensure effective and efficient delivery of strategic priorities. We are seeking an individual with significant experience of managing and leading people and teams.
The Head of Government Relations will lead and manage the Combined Authority’s relationship be with central Government, developing and shaping relationships in order to influence policy. Applicants will have direct experience of working with or for central government.
These are fantastic opportunities to be at the heart of one of the most exciting and dynamic economies in the country, as we embark upon the next stage in our exciting journey.
