The Head of Communications, Marketing & Engagement provides strategic leadership of a team of professional corporate communications, marketing and engagement staff ensuring advice and focused delivery is provided across the whole of the Liverpool City Region Combined Authority.
The postholder will advise the Combined Authority, the Metro Mayor, the Chief Executive and the Senior Management Team on all aspects of their public, staff and business-facing roles, leading the development of a positive reputation and supporting the promotion of the Liverpool City Region Combined Authority.
The role will lead the development and delivery of all corporate internal and external communications, engagement and marketing activities to improve the performance and perception of the LCRCA, including Merseytravel, driving the extensive requirements involved in promoting the transport offer.
The successful applicant will have experience at a senior level of communications, marketing and stakeholder engagement, working corporately within a large and complex public sector organisation.
With membership of a relevant professional body you will be able to evidence and demonstrate a high level of political awareness with associated organisational and delegation skills.
