The Liverpool City Region Combined Authority is growing a team of professional, engaged individuals to deliver our vision for an inclusive, globally competitive city region at the heart of the Northern Powerhouse.   This is an exciting time for us, having successfully negotiated and secured a Devolution Agreement with Government and elected the City Region’s first ever metro Mayor.

The Liverpool City Region has a historic opportunity right now: it is growing, with a strong base of innovative and resilient SMEs; it is upgrading its economic infrastructure, linked to Northern Powerhouse Rail, HS2 and improved local connectivity; and an unrivalled quality of life proposition based on cultural intensity and affordable living costs.  Yet, like all post-industrial cities, we need to work hard to ensure the benefits reach all citizens.

The Spatial Planning team are responsible for the development of the first City Region Spatial Development Strategy which will be instrumental in shaping the development of the City Region.

You will work alongside Senior Officers in the development of the Spatial Development Strategy to develop your skills and gain valuable knowledge from the team based on your academic studies to date whilst continuing with your Master’s degree on a part-time basis.
