The Liverpool City Region Combined Authority has been recognised as one of the Top 100 Apprenticeship Employers in England in a new table published detailing the country's outstanding apprenticeship employers.
The initiative will help support redundant apprentices to find a new suitable apprenticeship or explore alternative study options.
National Apprenticeship Week is in its 13th year.
The transfer, the first of its kind in the Liverpool City Region, was facilitated by the Liverpool City Region Combined Authority’s Apprenticeship Brokerage Service.
The move could save could save apprentices aged 19-24 up to £680 a year.
The UCAS-style portal has been created thanks to the Metro Mayor’s powers relating to the skills agenda.
