Metro Mayor Welcomes £26 million Investment Towards Building Back Better
Steve Rotheram, Metro Mayor of the Liverpool City Region, has welcomed the announcement of a £26 million investment in four key projects expected to make a significant contribution to the city region’s economic recovery from the COVID-19 pandemic.
In mid-June, the Combined Authority was asked to submit bids for funding for capital projects that could deliver outputs such as jobs and economic growth within 18 months.
The government has announced today that it will fund all four bids from its Getting Building Fund.
