Liverpool City Region is a thriving place for culture and creativity and we want to celebrate this.  Created by the LCR Combined Authority and sponsored by Paddock Johnson Partnership, USP Creative, The Handmade Gin Company and Liverpool John Lennon Airport, the winners of the Liverpool City Region Culture and Creativity Awards will be announced on 28th November 2019 at the Lady Lever Art Gallery in the 2019 Liverpool City Region ‘Borough of Culture’, Wirral.

What we mean by culture and creativity?

Culture is not just something done by professionals for audiences, but it is any creative activity that brings people together within their communities, whether real or virtual. It includes those organising voluntary, community based social activity, or researchers and businesses who use creative approaches within projects that are innovative and transformational as much as those involved in the creation and delivery of professional arts and cultural events and performances. Nominations for these awards can include an individual, organisation, business, group or partnership that, has demonstrated outstanding creative achievement through cultural activity at either a local, Borough or Liverpool City Region level.

Why are we doing them?

Part of the Metro Mayor’s Percent for Culture initiative, the awards have been created to recognise the value and power for change that the arts, cultural and creative sector can bring in reinforcing the City Region as one of the most vibrant and exciting places to live, work, study, visit or do business.
