Digital Inclusion Taskforce

Working together to help get you online.

What are the challenges?

The challenges to achieving digital inclusion are extensive, range from the practicalities and cost of getting people online, through to creating a societal culture of inclusivity. These challenges are not unique to the Liverpool City Region, nor are they quick or easy to redress, being rooted in multifaceted, inter-generational inequalities, however we do have strong foundations locally from which we can start to build a better approach to securing digital inclusion. The development of the Liverpool City Region Digital Inclusion Taskforce focuses on building a network of organisations who will work together to help fix the digital divide across the city region.

What is the taskforce and how does it work?

The taskforce is made up of over 100 members from across the industry, VCSC sector, public sector partners, local government, schools and health, meeting bi-monthly to share key updates, showcase projects and programmes that are supporting residents to get online and discuss opportunities for collaboration to continue to tackle digital exclusion. Taskforce members are also able engage, collaborate, and inform work being done through a variety of methods including internal taskforce communication channels, events and workshops.

Digital Inclusion Taskforce Thematic Groups

The Digital Inclusion Taskforce direction is co-developed with stakeholders and is currently working through three key workstream areas including pilots, interventions and digital champions.
