Could you be part of Liverpool City Region’s Fairness and Social Justice Advisory Board?

The city region’s Fairness and Social Justice Advisory Board, FASJAB, is calling for new members.

Established by Metro Mayor Steve Rotheram in 2017, FASJAB is the first of its kind in the country bringing together people from a diverse section of our local communities. We act as an independent sounding board, ensuring that issues of fairness and social justice are considered in every strategy that the Combined Authority develops.

As the work begins on recovery from COVID-19, and realising the Metro Mayor’s ambition to ‘Build Back Better’, there is vital work for FASJAB to complete. We currently meet virtually on a monthly basis. Membership is unremunerated, although reasonable expenses will be reimbursed.

We are especially keen to strengthen representation from residents of Halton, Knowsley and St. Helens, as well as from those with lived experience of the LGBTQI+ community, the retired community, neurodiversity, and sensory disabilities. Applications from people resident in the above local authority areas and/or with the lived experience referred to will therefore be particularly welcomed.
