The LCR Cares COVID-19 community support fund has smashed through the half a million pound mark. The fund now stands at £575k, more than half-way to the £1m target set by Liverpool City Region Metro Mayor Steve Rotheram.
Metro Mayor Steve Rotheram will today (Thursday 16 April) announce plans to redirect £15m from existing Combined Authority projects to support businesses and the community and voluntary sector through the Coronavirus crisis.
Steve Rotheram, Metro Mayor of Liverpool City Region, has today (Wednesday, 15 April, 2020) announced that £400k of funding is being made available to provide immediate support to the city region’s vital Music, Film and TV industries.
Another £86,000 worth of funding from the LCR Cares COVID-19 Community Fund has been allocated.

Liverpool legend Jamie Carragher’s 23 Foundation has donated £5,000 to support the LCR Cares COVID-19 Community Fund.
